THe play

Pains of Youth by Ferdinand Bruckner is about a group of young people explore life: love, morality, ambition, sex... and get caught up in their own games. How to be an adult in a society plagued with uncertainty? Although Pains of Youth is set in Vienna just a few years after the First World War, the idea of a lost generation is quite familiar and relevant.

FREDER

Sebastian Atienza took the role of Freder in this production. The action is dominated by this sinister character, who delights in causing destruction. He corrupts an innocent maid, feeds the suicidal tendencies of the bisexual, aristocratic Desiree, and finally turns his attention to her lover, Marie, off whom he hopes to live.
